MORENO VALLEY, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) El Centro Field Office will waive recreation-related fees for visitors on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11 and Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day weekend, Jan. 13-16, 2017.

These “fee-free” days apply to the following locations: Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area, Lark Canyon Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Area and Cottonwood Campground.

"We hope these free periods encourage the public to explore the variety of recreational opportunities that BLM provides to them and their families," said Tom Zale, BLM El Centro Field Manager.

The fee-free days during the MLK weekend will also afford visitors the opportunity to participate in the 20th Annual MLK Dunes Cleanup event in the Imperial Sand Dunes.
