CARSON CITY, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management’s Sierra Front Northwestern Great Basin Resource Advisory Council will meet March 5, 2020, at the Winnemucca District Office, 5100 East Winnemucca Blvd.   

The March 5 meeting will take place from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Two public comment periods will be held during the meeting at approximately 8:05 a.m. and approximately 3:45 p.m.

Planned agenda items include updates on the 2019 wildfire season and rehabilitation efforts, the 2019 Burning Man event, wild horses and burros, sage grouse, Governor’s Collaborative on Wildland Fire, and District managers’ updates.

The Sierra Front Northwestern Great Basin RAC is one of three citizen advisory councils to BLM Nevada. Its 15 members are appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and represent a broad range of public land interests, including environmental, local government, recreation, energy, livestock grazing, and commercial activity. The RAC advises the Carson City and Winnemucca BLM Districts.
