BLM seeks public help in facility vandalism near Hildale

ST. GEORGE, Utah—The Bureau of Land Management is asking for help identifying the individual (s) who vandalized facilities at the Water Canyon Trailhead, located on BLM-managed public lands near Hildale, Utah. Damages were discovered on Nov. 4, 2017.

A reward of $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the conviction of those responsible. Please call BLM Law Enforcement at (800) 227-7286 with any information. Callers may remain anonymous.

“This newly constructed restroom facility and trailhead were installed to accommodate the increasing recreational use in the area,” said St. George Field Office Manager Keith Rigtrup. “Because of this damage, the restroom facility is now unusable and will require substantial repairs. We take this loss seriously as it is a cost to all taxpayers.”
