The Ridge/Beall Trailhead is now open at the Emerald Mountain Special Recreation Management Area located in Steamboat Springs.

The Trailhead, which is located one mile off County Road 45 on CR 33, was built through a partnership with the city of Steamboat Springs and the 2A Trails Committee Accommodations Tax to provide parking, kiosk and a vault toilet.   The vault toilet was destroyed by documented vandalism on Sept. 10 leaving no toilet facilities on site until a replacement is built.

The trailhead can accommodate 29 vehicles, one handicapped and five trailers for more than 15 miles of trails on Emerald Mountain.  For more information on the trail systems go to: http://www.blm.gov/co/st/en/fo/lsfo/programs/recreation/mtn_biking.html

“We appreciate the hard work and dedication from our partners to make this trailhead a reality.” stated Wendy Reynolds, BLM Little Snake Field Manager.  “Riders should also remember to stay on established trails, be mindful of other trail users, to pay attention to posted signs, and to ride responsibly.”
