LANDER, Wyo. – The Bureau of Land Management will offer the Cottonwood Park timber sale for 2.5 million board feet to be harvested from about 342 acres near Jeffrey City in Freemont County.

Timber produced from these sales will provide critical supplies for construction and other industries, and support jobs across local economies. The harvest will improve forest health, reduce fuel loads to minimize risk of stand-replacing catastrophic fires, improve firefighter and public safety, and improve wildlife habitat and grazing.

Bids must be delivered to the Lander Field Office, 1335 Main Street, Lander, WY 82520, prior to 10 a.m. MDT on Sept. 17, 2025.

America has significant timber resources, and the BLM is focused on using forests for timber and jobs that improve life for all Americans. These sales support Executive Order 14225, “Immediate Expansion of American Timber Production.”
