An oil and gas lease sale set for early May is being moved to a different location in Billings than originally scheduled. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold the sale at the Northern Hotel in downtown Billings, instead of at the Montana/Dakotas State Office on Southgate Drive as previously announced. The location has been changed in order to better accommodate industry participants and members of the public interested in observing the proceedings. The Competitive Oil and Gas Lease Sale will begin at 9 a.m. on May 4, 2016. Street parking is limited, so participants are encouraged to utilize the hotel's parking garage. Information on the parcels being offered for sale in Garfield, Richland, Roosevelt and Sheridan Counties in Montana and Williams County, North Dakota, can be found at the BLM website. For more information, please contact Kimberly Werven, Chief, Fluids Adjudication Section, at 406-896-5091.
