This action terminates a Whitewater Fire Prevention order issued on June 1, 2017, by the BLM Palm Springs-South Coast Field Office. A copy of the termination order can be viewed at https://www.blm.gov/sites/blm.gov/files/programs-public_safety_and_fire-fire_and_aviation-california-whitewater_preserve.pdf.

Although the fire prevention closure order is no longer necessary, Stage III fire restrictions still remain in effect for the Whitewater area.
