BLM to Hold Joint Resource Advisory Council Meeting Feb. 13-15 in Golden

GOLDEN, Colo. -- The Bureau of Land Management Colorado’s Northwest, Southwest and Front Range Resource Advisory Councils scheduled a joint meeting for Feb. 13-15 at the Denver Marriott West, 1717 Denver West Boulevard, Golden, Colo.
 
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. on Feb. 13 and will conclude at noon on Feb. 15. The Southwest, Northwest and Front Range RACs will each hold separate meetings on Feb. 13 as follows:

  • The Southwest RAC meeting begins at 2 p.m., and the public comment period is scheduled for 3:15 p.m.  Individuals who want to make a statement during the public comment period should register with the BLM by sending an email to sborders@blm.gov by Tuesday, Feb. 12. Speakers should submit a written copy of their statement at the meeting for the administrative record. Depending on the number of speakers, the RAC may limit the length of presentations.
  • The Northwest RAC begins at 1 p.m. with the public comment period at 2:30 p.m. 
  • The Front Range RAC begins at 1 p.m. with the public comment period at 1:15 p.m. All of the meetings are open to the public.

Topics of discussion during the meetings will include healthy landscapes, oil and gas development, the National Landscape Conservation System and other issues.
