BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz.— The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is planning to gather approximately 60 wild burros near the community of Bullhead City, Ariz., starting June 15.

The gather, expected to take three weeks, comes after discussions and concerns brought forth by private landowners and community leaders following a string incidents involving wild burros. The animals will be transported to the BLM Wild Horse and Burro facility in Florence, Ariz., where they will be prepared for possible public adoption. For information on how to adopt a wild burro, please visit https://www.blm.gov/programs/wild-horse-and-burro .
