Subject: Fully Processed Grazing Permit Renewals; Getting Started

DD: Dec. 15, 2005

At the October 18-19, 2005 Nevada State Leadership Team meeting, the State Director stated that all of Nevada’s “rider” and expiring grazing permits would be fully processed by the end of 2009 deadline. Among the first steps in this process is a determination of how many permits will need to be fully processed.

Attached is an Excel spreadsheet comprised of three worksheets. The purpose of the first worksheet “Allotment Count” is to identify how many permits need to be processed by the deadline. Each Field Office Manager will turn in the “Allotment Count” information for their office at the Dec. 15, 2005 SLT meeting.

The other worksheets are suggestions to help each office organize permit processing in their office. These tables may be modified to fit office-specific needs. The offered versions will help organize much of the information needed for this task and help create and track schedules.

If you have any questions, please contact Don Hicks, Carson City Field Office, Shane DeForest, Elko Field Office, or Bill Dragt in the State Office.
