This publication continues a series of thematic Junior Explorer activity books that can be used by BLM offices to educate young people about public lands and resources in a fun and engaging way. Native Plants is the first subject area for a new series of BLM educational publications called “Explore, Investigate, Discover.These materials address topics related to the programs and mission of the BLM and are targeted to learners ranging from young children to adults. For each topic, the BLM will produce a suite of three publications: a Junior Explorer booklet for young children; a Classroom Investigations Teaching Guide for secondary school teachers; and a Discovery Series publication for learners of all ages. Please offer copies of Junior Explorer: Native Plants at visitor centers, BLM public rooms, and other appropriate venues. You are encouraged to coordinate with your office Forms Manager to order copies (up to 100 per order) free of charge from BLM Printed Materials Distribution Services at the National Operations Center.
