Interested Offices should submit a proposal describing the project and duties the PMF would perform and the project timeframe. Assignments should give the PMF substantial responsibilities, allow the PMF to work on priority projects, and should promote a learning opportunity. Please include a brief description of the Office and local community, as well.Background: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Department of the Interior currently have PMFs employed Nationwide. The PMF program is a highly competitive, government-wide professional development program designed to prepare individuals for management careers within the Federal government. Individuals hired through the PMF program are graduates of a variety of Masters Degree and doctoral-level programs. Presidential Management Fellows receive an initial two-year full-time excepted service appointment, after which they are eligible for conversion to a permanent position as a Federal government employee.During their fellowship, PMFs take on one or more rotational assignments. The BLM fellows are currently seeking rotational opportunities and experiences at the State and Field Office level for a 4-month period. Coordination: Resumes, including dates of availability, are available upon request.
