Pioneer Program Children's Activity Book

This Pioneer Program Activity Book, created by the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in  Casper, Wyoming, focuses on western trail heritage in Wyoming. This history has influenced the American culture you see today. Through a series of imaginary letters written in 1850, kids get to experience the trail culture. "We are traveling on what Father calls the 'Great Platte River Road,' along the North Platte tributary...Today Sister and I searched for odd looking plants and played a game imagining their uses. Sister sketched the plants so she could remember them."  Activities include history, trail names, tools, and preparing for any event.
