Ridgway Area Trails

Located just north of the town of Ridgway and south of Ridgway State Park this area is packed with 25 miles of non-motorized trails. Located on lands managed by the Uncompahgre Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management, this has become a destination for biking enthusiasts throughout western Colorado and beyond. Other activities include hiking, hunting, and horseback riding. Amazing views of the Mount Sneffels Range, the Cimarron Mountains, Ridgway Reservoir, Uncompahgre River, and Log Hill Mesa enhance the trail experience. This area is accessed from US Highway 550, Ouray County Road 10, and the Uncompahgre Riverway Trail. Due to wintering wildlife needs, the area is seasonally closed to all use from December 1 to April 30.
