Colorado High Desert and Canyon Country Junior Explorer

The Grand Junction Field Office manages more than one million acres of land in western Colorado including the McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area and Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area. The area consists of thousands of acres of rugged canyons and plateaus in the "high desert" area of western Colorado. Special areas include the North Fruita Desert and the Little Bookcliffs Wild Horse Range within the National Conservation Areas. Activities include discovering the Mica Mine Trail, the McDonald Creek Canyon, and other recreation sites. Games focus on river safety, desert ecology, archaeology, and  the history in the rocks.
