Emily Lindow

Acting Assistant Director for Energy, Minerals and Realty Management

Emily Lindow is the acting Assistant Director for Energy, Minerals and Realty Management. Emily is the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s Office Director for Strategic Policy and International Affairs, and she also served as the BOEM Chief of Staff and Director of International Affairs. She has significant energy experience related to regulation, policy, outreach and operations management. Prior to joining the Department of the Interior, Emily worked at the Department of Commerce, managing energy and environmental portfolios for the Secretary of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Administrator, and Director of the National Marine Fisheries Service. Emily was also a Senior Policy Analyst at the National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling. Emily earned a master of arts in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University School for Advanced International Studies and a master in environmental management from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University. Emily is a 2019 graduate of the DOI’s Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program.
