Infrastructure authorized for Veloci 16 well pad gas drilling project

The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Veloci 16 Well Pad: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0037-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will authorize nine Applications for Permit to Drill to Caerus Uinta, LLC (the applicant) to drill gas wells. The EA analyzed construction of a new well pad with an associated access roads, pipelines, and a powerline and drilling of up to seven additional wells for a total of sixteen, eleven which will produce federal minerals.

The project location includes land administered by the BLM and TLA. The pad will be on TLA-administered lands with pipelines and a powerline entering BLM-administered lands in the S2NE and the N2SE in Section 16. Pipeline and powerline routes would cross Sections 10, 11, 14, 15 and 16, Township 10 South, Range 23 East, Uintah County, Utah.

Scipio North project approved for large-scale habitat enhancement and rangeland improvements

The Bureau of Land Management Fillmore Field Office has issued a Determination of NEPA adequacy (DNA)  and decision record for the Scipio North Habitat Enhancement project: DOI-BLM-UT-W020-2026-0003-DNA. The project authorizes vegetation treatments on 13,292 acres of BLM-managed land in ten treatment units (Badeau Ridge, Cal Valley, Church Hills, Jake’s Canyon, Low Hills, Scipio Pass, South Hills, The Draw, Yuba, and Yuba South) and the maintenance and installation of guzzlers for rangeland improvement. These treatment areas are located around the Yuba Reservoir and extend south along the I-15 corridor to Scipio pass, in Juab and Millard counties.
