Event Description

CASPER, Wyo. – The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center will be temporarily closed to the public from January 25 through February 2 to facilitate routine building maintenance and to enable staff participation in essential safety training.

During the closure, crews will conduct carpet cleaning, floor polishing, and other upkeep tasks to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for visitors. The closure will also provide staff the opportunity to plan and prepare for the upcoming years interpretive programs and special events.

“We appreciate the public’s understanding as we take this time to invest in both our team’s readiness and the facility’s upkeep,” said Jessie Horn, Bureau of Land Management Trails Center Manager. “These efforts help us in continuing to provide a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for all of our visitors.”

The center will reopen to the public on February 3. We look forward to welcoming guests back to refreshed spaces and introducing exciting new programs for the year ahead.
