Event Description

Casper, Wyo. – Join the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center as they welcome back local historian Kylie McCormick for a special presentation on Saturday, August 30 starting at 1 p.m.

One hundred years ago, a passing cowboy stumbled across a pioneer grave. Partially buried in the sagebrush and sand, the headstone raised more questions than answers - just who was Mary E. Homsley, the 28-year-old woman who died in June 1852? Kylie McCormick will answer some of these questions as she recounts the discovery of Mary Homsley.
