Event Description

Join the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center for a special presentation on Saturday, July 12 at 1 p.m. from Sharie Shada, site superintendent of Fort Phil Kearny, Trail End, and LX Bar Ranch state historic sites.

Fort Phil Kearny was only operational from 1866 to 1868, but during those two short years, many people - including women - shaped its history. From officer's wives to servants - official government employees to civilians - this program shares the stories from and about the women who called this outpost home.
