The BLM Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the SA Oil Wells: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0070-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will approve three Applications for Permit to Drill for the applicant, Uinta Wax Operating LLC, to drill oil wells from an existing well pad to produce from their existing Indian Trust mineral leases. The EA also analyzed potential effects of drilling of a fourth well in the future. The project location is on private surface in SESE Section 32, Township 2 South, Range 1 East, U.S.BM., Uintah County, Utah.

The BLM Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Wilson 23-20-723 Well Pad: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0062-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will approve eight Applications for Permit to Drill for the applicant, Middle Fork Energy Uinta LLC, to drill gas wells to produce from their existing federal mineral leases. The EA also analyzed construction of a well pad with supporting access roads, pipelines, and a powerline and drilling of an additional eight wells in the future for sixteen total wells. The project location is on BLM-administered lands approximately 20 miles southeast of Vernal in Uintah County, Utah; specifically Township 7 South, Range 23 East, Section 20.
