Notice of comment period for Baker's Dozen Timber Management Project

The Coos Bay District has posted the draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Baker's Dozen Timber Management Project, NEPA No. DOI-BLM-ORWA-C040-2025-0004-EA. The Coos Bay District is accepting comments via ePlanning until October 6, 2025. The project is located near Powers, Ore. in Coos County, and proposes commercial thinning and regeneration harvest on approximately 1,300 acres of Harvest Land Base land use allocation in stands aged 30-90 years old. Additionally, the BLM proposes to treat the Outer Zone of the Riparian Reserve stands aged 40˗60 years to accelerate individual tree growth.  The documents are available at Baker's Dozen Timber Management.
