Notice of comment period for 42 Divide Forest Management Plan
The South River Field Office of the Roseburg District Bureau of Land Management has posted the Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the 42 Divide Forest Management Plan, NEPA No. DOI-BLM-ORWA-R050-2025-0002-EA. The documents are available for review as of September 2, 2025, at the BLM National NEPA Register (ePlanning) website under the following project link: 42 Divide Forest Management Plan. The 14-day comment period will begin September 2, 2025, and end September 15, 2025. Comments may be submitted through the BLM ePlanning website.
The BLM previously released the 42 Divide EA on ePlanning for public comment May 1 and June 23, 2025, under NEPA number DOI-BLM-ORWA-R050-2022-0001-EA. The BLM cancelled that ePlanning page on July 1, 2025, to allow for more time to align the environmental analysis with the Endangered Species Act Section 7 consultation timeline and to conform with the new DOI NEPA Handbook formatting requirements and significance considerations. All previous comments collected with the original ePlanning number will be retained in the project record.
