Celebrate National Public Lands Day (NPLD) with us at Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area in Lorton, Virginia on September 26, 2026, from 9am to 12pm!
Join fellow volunteers and staff in giving back to your public lands through hands-on projects that make a difference across Meadowood. Projects include (1) trail maintenance with MORE-mtb will meet at the Mason Neck Kisok Trailhead (10110 Gunston Rd); (2) building picnic tables and (3) invasive species removal will meet at Mustang Trailhead (10702 Harley Rd).
Your time and energy help keep Meadowood SRMA thriving for everyone to enjoy. Plus, volunteers receive a free t-shirt and fee-free coupon for a future visit to any federal public land site! Bring your work gloves, water bottle, and enthusiasm, and be part of a nationwide day of stewardship and community.
Two other free events are happening at Meadowood during NPLD. Check out the free fishing event at Hidden Pond by FishingCommunities.org (10705 Belmont Blvd) and Stunt Fest by Northern Virginia Control Line at Giles Meadow (10207 Old Colchester Rd).
