Lend a Hand, Leave a Legacy at Salt Lick Trail for National Public Lands Day

WORLAND, Wyo. — The Bureau of Land Management's Worland Field Office will host a National Public Lands Day volunteer event at Salt Lick Trail on Saturday, September 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteers are invited to help repair the trail by constructing box timber stair treads, remove debris and other accumulated erosion off the trail path and standard trail maintenance. Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are welcome.
National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest single-day volunteer event dedicated to improving public lands. The event provides an opportunity for community members to work alongside BLM employees to help care for public lands while learning more about specific areas and their history while helping preserve public land for future generations.
Volunteers should bring their own lunch, snacks, sturdy closed-toe shoes, gloves, hats, a backpack and weather-appropriate clothing. Participants must provide their own transportation to and from the event. BLM will provide water for volunteers.
Salt Lick Trail, approximately six miles east of Ten Sleep and immediately north of U.S. Highway 16 across from the Ten Sleep Rock Ranch Campground.
