Lakeview Field Office issues decision on juniper treatment in Hill Camp
The Bureau of Land Management Lakeview Field Office has issued a decision record for a categorical exclusion to thin and control western juniper for ecological and habitat restoration. This project is designed to balance juniper management practices with conservation goals for sage-grouse while also enhancing mule deer habitat over the long term.
This project covers up to 2,800 acres approximately 9 miles southeast of Adel, Oregon within General and Priority Habitat Management Area for Greater sage-grouse and mule deer winter range. The decision can be found on the ePlanning website at: Habitat Restoration Through Juniper Treatments in Hill Camp.
