Event Description
Join us for a guided plant walk through the lower Sand Canyon area of Canyons of the Ancients National Monument with Marian Rohman, author of Plants of Canyons of the Ancients National Monument and a long-time interpreter of the region’s remarkable flora.
This immersive walk invites participants to slow down and see the landscape through a new lens as Marian shares her deep knowledge of native plants, their identifying features, seasonal changes, and the ecological roles they play in this high-desert environment.
This walk is designed for curious beginners and seasoned naturalists alike, offering a meaningful opportunity to connect with the Canyons of the Ancients landscape while gaining a deeper appreciation for the plants that sustain it.
Participants are asked to meet at the Sand Canyon Trailhead western lot.
