BLM Authorizes Five New Oil Wells for Evelyn Project in Duchesne County

The BLM Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment prepared for the Evelyn UT 6-16 Oil Wells: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0050-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision that will authorize Applications for Permits to Drill for the applicant, Fourpoint Resources, to drill five oil wells from a well pad on private surface to produce from Indian Trust Minerals.

New Underground Water and Power Infrastructure Approved for Kolob Terrace Road

The BLM St. George Field Office has issued a decision on the Environmental Assessment and Decision Record for NEPA number: DOI-BLM-UT-C030-2026-0003-EA. Pala Holdings LLC and Rocky Mountain Power have requested to build an underground water pipeline and an underground powerline adjacent to Kolob Terrace Road.

Spring Restoration and Protection Authorized for Diamond and Goslin Mountains

The BLM Vernal Field Office has issued a Categorical Exclusion for the Diamond and Goslin Mountain Spring Structures: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0041-CX. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will construct enclosure fences around 5 springs and in-stream Zeedyk structures in Goslin Creek to alleviate livestock grazing pressure on the springs and stream channel. The project locations are on the Goslin and Diamond Mountains and the Three Corners area in Uintah County, Utah.
