Drill Permit Approved Near Roosevelt, Utah
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Szyndrowski Pad Oil Well: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0140-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record approving an Application for Permit to Drill authorizing Uinta Wax Resources (the applicant) to directionally drill an oil well (the Cox Tribal 28-01-3-1E) from the Szyndrowski Well Pad on private surface to produce from an existing Indian Trust mineral lease. The project location is on split-estate lands approximately 6.8 linear miles south of Roosevelt, Utah in SENE Section 28, Township 3 South, Range 1 East, in the north Leland Bench area of Uintah County, Utah. The BLM decision only authorizes the well that will produce from minerals under its jurisdiction.
