Event Description
The Deerwood Ranch, in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management, will host a free public event and wild horse adoption on Saturday, June 14. The Deerwood Ranch is located outside of Laramie.
Approximately 20 untrained horses will be available for adoption on a first come, first-served basis, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Untrained burros may be available.
Free tours on a tractor-pulled wagon will be offered to view the resident herd of wild horses at the Ranch every half hour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This event provides a great opportunity for people to learn more about the complexities of the wild horse and burro program, and to experience a piece of our shared American heritage.
