LANDER, Wyo.— The Cottonwood Campground will be closed for the month of June as crews replace a large culvert and repair a washed-out road within the campground.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Lander Field Office expects repairs to be finished by early July, aiming to reopen the campground in time for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. The closure is intended to ensure public safety while heavy equipment operates in the area.

Cottonwood Campground is a popular destination, and the BLM thanks the public for their patience and understanding during the closure. An additional announcement will be issued when the campground reopens.

BLM asks visitors to plan accordingly due to the closure. Recreation sites and useful resources for the Lander Field Office can be found online at https://www.blm.gov/office/lander-field-office.
