The Bureau of Land Management’s Lower Potomac Field Station is calling for photo submissions showcasing the beauty and diversity of the Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area (SRMA). This October marks Meadowood’s 25th year of public lands—an exciting milestone worth celebrating!
Share your favorite photographs of Meadowood for a chance to have your image featured on the cover of the next Meadowood brochure.

To participate, please complete our contact information form and submit up to three photos using one of the methods below:

Email is the preferred method for photo submissions but mailed or hand-delivered entries are also accepted.
Submitted photos may be used by the Bureau of Land Management for educational materials, printed or digital content, social media, and other outreach efforts. Photographers will be credited, and copyright to all submitted work remains with the photographer.
Meadowood SRMA features diverse landscapes, trail systems, tree species, and recreation opportunities—from Thompson Creek to Wood Thrush Loop—offering endless inspiration for visitors of all ages. This contest invites photographers to highlight Meadowood’s unique environment and contribute to future interpretive and educational materials.
