COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Bureau of Land Management Coeur d’Alene Field Office will begin a series of pavement resurfacing projects beginning March 30 and concluding around May 8, 2026, which will require temporary closures for 2-3 days at a time during resurfacing.

The project areas include Blackwell Island, Mineral Ridge Trailhead and Boat Launch, Beauty Bay, Huckleberry Campground, and Killarney Lake Campground-Boat Launch. Each site will undergo crack and slurry sealing, asphalt repair, and new pavement markings.

These sites will remain open to the public outside of the resurfacing operations. Specific dates and times of operations may fluctuate depending on weather and signs will be posted for public awareness.

The Coeur d’Alene Field Office recognizes the inconvenience these temporary closures may cause and appreciates the public’s patience during this maintenance to improve these sites for everyone’s enjoyment for years to come.

For further details on specific dates and times contact the Coeur d’Alene Field Office at 208-769-5000 and follow BLM Idaho social media for notifications at facebook.com/BLMIdaho.
