BLM Signs Decisions for Sandpockets Trails and Ken's Lake
Designation of Sandpockets Trails:
The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued Categorical Exclusion (CE) documentation for the Designation of Sandpockets Trails: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0071-CE. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will designate three existing trails (3.75 miles total) within the Sandpockets trail system as OHV-Open and incorporate them into our trail network. The project locations are on BLM-administered lands in T3S R21E Sections 22, 27, 28 (Salt Lake Meridian) in the Red Mountain-Dry Fork SRMA. Ken's Lake Vegetation Treatment:
The Bureau of Land Management Moab Field Office has issued a categorical exclusion and decision record that authorizes an invasive species removal and hazardous fuels reduction treatment on approximately 176 acres at Ken's Lake south of Moab.
