BLM Signs Decision Record for Five Drill Permits

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Julie UT Oil Wells: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0158-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record approving five Applications for Permit to Drill authorizing FourPoint Resources LLC (the applicant) to horizontally drill oil wells from the Julie UT 8-3-4-4 Well Pad. The EA also analyzed non-surface effects of constructing the pad and drilling up to nine additional wells in the future for a total of fourteen. The project location is on private surface approximately five linear miles east of Duchesne, Utah in Section 3, Township 4 South, Range 4 West. USM, in Duchesne County, Utah. The BLM decision only applies to wells that will produce Indian Trust minerals under its jurisdiction.
