BLM to sell 250 million board feet of timber
Gunnison, Colo. – The Bureau of Land Management will offer the Gold Mountain Fire Salvage Timber Sale, which includes approximately 250 million board feet of timber from 120 acres near the community of High Mesa in Gunnison County, Colorado. The BLM will accept written bids at 10 a.m. Aug. 19, 2026, at the Gunnison Field Office, 2500 E New York Ave. Timber produced through the sale will provide critical supplies for construction and other industries and support jobs across economies in western Colorado.
“America has significant timber resources,” said Rob Potts, Southwest District Manager. “And we are focused on using forests for timber and jobs that improve life for all Americans.”
