BLM seeks input on proposed North Bullfrog gold mine in Nye County
TONOPAH, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment for the North Bullfrog gold mine proposed on 6,298 public and private acres near Beatty in Nye County.
If approved, Corvus Gold Nevada, Inc., could extract ore, rock, and soil from three open pit mines. The project would employ 530 people during the one-year construction phase and 230 people for the life of the mine.
The Environmental Protection Agency published a notice in today’s Federal Register to open a 30-day public comment period. Additional information, including the draft Environmental Impact Statement, is available at the BLM National NEPA Register, where comments may be submitted through the “Participate Now” option.
