BLM seeks input on proposed land conveyance to Las Vegas for park

LAS VEGAS – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on a City of Las Vegas proposal to lease and convey 122 acres of public land for development of a new community park. The parcel is at the northwest corner of Log Cabin Way and El Capitan Way in northwest Las Vegas, bounded to the west by the future extension of Skye Canyon Park Drive (Fort Apache Road alignment) and to the north by the future Moccasin Road.

The proposed park would provide vital green space and recreational opportunities to area residents including sports fields and trails, and would include public restrooms, parking, utilities, and other facilities.
