BLM seeks initial input on Silver King wild horse management
ELY, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on herd management area plan for the Silver King Herd Management Area.
“The Silver King Herd Management Area Plan will outline objectives for managing health for wild horses on healthy rangelands,” said Caliente Assistant Field Manager Cameron Boyce.
A 30-day public scoping period will begin on May 23 and end on June 23, 2025.
The BLM has prepared an evaluation report, which you can review on the BLM national NEPA Register. The report documents key issues that would aid in alternative development of the Silver King Herd Management Area Plan. Depending on funding and other competing priorities, the BLM intends to complete the process and adopt a plan for the Silver King Herd Management Area within approximately one year.
