BLM seeks initial input on proposed Redonda solar project in Riverside County

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on the proposed Redonda solar project on approximately 887 acres of public lands in Riverside County. If approved, the project could produce and store up to 250 megawatts of utility-scale energy.

Redonda PV LLC, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Clearway Energy Group LLC, proposes to construct, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the project that would be located east of Desert Center and north of I-10.

The BLM will host an in-person public meeting on Wednesday, June 18, from 4-6 p.m. at UC Riverside - Palm Desert Center, 75080 Frank Sinatra Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92211.
