BLM rescinds fire restrictions in Apache and Navajo counties
TUCSON, Ariz. – The Bureau of Land Management Gila District has rescinded fire restrictions in Apache and Navajo counties effective today at 12 a.m.
Recent widespread rain across Apache and Navajo counties has reduced the risk of wildfires. Although reduced, the risk of wildfires remains. Public land users should always use caution while working or recreating outdoors, ensuring vehicles are not parked over dry vegetation and campfires are well situated within a fire ring free of surrounding vegetation and extinguished completely before departing. The Gila District would like to thank the public for their cooperation this summer during fire restrictions.
Fire restriction levels and conditions vary across Arizona. Fire prevention and fire restriction information can be found on the Arizona Interagency Wildfire Prevention webpage.
