BLM Repairs John Blue Hill for Public Safety
CODY, Wyo. — Heavy rain washed out portions of John Blue Road above the parking area, leaving that section passable only by utility terrain vehicles and all-terrain vehicles. The Bureau of Land Management is repairing the road and asks other motorists to avoid the area until repairs are complete.
Crews are filling washed-out areas and reinstalling water bars. The road remains open at this time, but visitors should watch for crews and equipment and use caution when traveling in the area. Visitors without UTVs or ATVs should not attempt to drive the damaged portion of the road.
“Public safety is our top priority as we work to repair the road and restore access,” said Brad Tribby, BLM Cody Field Manager. “We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation while crews complete this necessary work.”
