CARSON CITY, Nev. — The Bureau of Land Management has issued a Proposed Decision on an Environmental Assessment (EA) to issue a grazing permit on four grazing allotments. The allotments are Basalt, Belleville, Little Huntoon and McBride Flat and lie entirely on BLM-managed lands in Mineral County, NV. The project will create a new grazing permit to authorize cattle grazing on these allotments and implement associated range improvements for livestock infrastructure and habitat protection.

Actions over the duration of the project include a two-year rotational grazing authorization, construction of range improvements, such as corrals and cattleguards as well as habitat improvement projects which include riparian exclosures and noxious weed treatments.

The Proposed Decision and EA are available at https://eplanning.blm.gov/project-home/?id=004F2BF5-A7F2-F011-8407-001DD803D7D3
