BLM issues Decision for Virgina City Power Line Amendment
CARSON CITY, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management has issued a decision record for a categorical exclusion to amend an existing powerline. The purpose of this project is to rebuild an aging overhead electrical distribution line, with updated fire-safe equipment.
This project is located within a high fire-risk area, and within the wildland-urban interface between open space managed by BLM and Virginia City. The project is in the Virginia City area of Storey County, Nevada.
