BLM issues decision to offer the Eckley Empanada Timber Sale
The Myrtlewood Field Office of the Coos Bay District has issued a decision to advertise and offer the Eckley Empanada Timber Sale near Powers, Oregon. The timber sale includes harvest from 105 acres, with 16 acres of regeneration harvest and 89 acres of commercial thinning. The BLM will harvest 1.8 million board feet of timber in the sale. The BLM analyzed the timber sale as part of the Baker’s Dozen Timber Management Environmental Assessment. A 30-day appeal period for the Eckley Empanada Timber Sale Decision Record begins on January 22, 2026.
