BLM issues decision on North Gerber Forest Health Treatments CE
The Bureau of Land Management Lakeview District Klamath Falls Field Office has issued a decision record for the North Gerber Forest Health Treatments categorical exclusion. The proposed action of this project is to conduct forest management activities on BLM-managed public domain lands north of Gerber Reservoir in Klamath County, Oregon. These activities will target Western juniper encroachment, reduce overstocked ponderosa pine, and restore appropriate tree densities consistent with long‑term ecological function. Activities will include commercial timber sales, non-commercial thinning, juniper removal, and prescribed fire. The proposed action for this categorical exclusion includes 2,628 acres of treatment.
The decision record can be found at North Gerber Forest Health Treatments CE. For more information, please contact project manager Christopher Stout at 541-885-4108 or [email protected], or reach out to the Klamath Falls Field Office at 541-883-6916 or [email protected].
