BLM issues decision to implement sample tree falling for Baker’s Dozen timber sales
The Myrtlewood Field Office of the Coos Bay District Bureau of Land Management has issued a decision to implement sample tree falling in timber sale units analyzed in the Baker’s Dozen Environmental Assessment [DOI-BLM-ORWA-C040-2026-0001-CX]. Sample tree falling is the falling, bucking, and scaling of a limited number of randomly selected trees to ensure the accuracy of the timber sale valuation. A 30-day appeal period for the Decision Record will begin on December 19, 2025.
