BLM Issues Decision for Greenlink North 525 kV Transmission Line, Geotechnical Investigations, Phase 3
The Bureau of Land Management, Nevada State Office, has issued a decision memorandum for a categorical exclusion authorizing geotechnical investigations for the Greenlink North 525 kV Transmission Line Project. NV Energy has applied for authorization for 68 boring locations along the proposed transmission line alignment in Ely and Battle Mountain Districts in Churchill and Eureka Counties, Nevada.
The 3-year short-term right-of-way will authorize drilling at select locations to support project development design and include a 50-foot by 50-foot work area around each drill site and overland travel where necessary.
The approved decision memorandum, categorical exclusion, and maps of the drilling sites are available at: https://eplanning.blm.gov/Project-Home/?id=EF016706-BE70-F111-AB0D-001DD802F839.
The 30-day appeal period ends on September 21, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact project manager Brian Buttazoni at 775-861-6491 or [email protected].
