The Bureau of Land Management Lakeview Field Office has issued a decision record for a categorical exclusion to authorize geologic fieldwork consisting of collecting up to twelve shallow sediment cores and conducting limited streambank stratigraphic observations to support analysis of Pleistocene–Pliocene lake sediments, volcanic ash (tephra) deposits, and shallow fault‑related deformation.

The geology study will occur approximately 7mi NW of Paisley, Oregon. The decision can be found on the BLM National NEPA Register website at: Summer Lake Geology Study. For more information, please reach out to the Lakeview Field Office at 541-947-6100 or [email protected].
