BLM issues decision on the Fender’s Blue Butterfly Translocation DNA

The Bureau of Land Management Northwest Oregon District Siuslaw Field Office has issued a decision record for a determination of NEPA adequacy to authorize the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to collect Fender's blue butterflies (FBB), late stage larvae, from BLM-administered Fir Butte in the West Eugene Wetlands for translocation to the Beazell Memorial Forest, located northwest of Corvallis, for the purposes of establishing a new population of Fender's blue butterflies (DOI-BLM-ORWA-N030-2026-0005-DNA).
